Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Riyadh University of Arts, confirmed that applications and registration will begin in May.

The announcement signals a major milestone in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to expand access to specialised arts education and nurture homegrown creative talent.

Classes at the university are scheduled to commence in September.

Focus on Creative Disciplines

Located in Riyadh, the university will initially offer four specialised colleges designed to support a wide spectrum of creative fields.

These include:

  • Music

  • Theatre
  • Performing Arts and Cultural Management

The programmes are expected to combine academic study with practical training, equipping students with the skills needed to contribute to the Kingdom’s evolving cultural landscape.
