The Saudi chemistry team is participating in the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, hosted in Moscow, Russia, from April 15 to 23.
First launched in 1967, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious global chemistry competitions, known for its advanced questions and rigorous format.
Continued Saudi Presence and Achievements
This participation extends the Kingdom’s presence in the Olympiad since 2013, bringing the total number of participations to 13.
During this period, Saudi students earned 28 international awards, including three silver and 23 bronze medals, reflecting their progress in global competitions.
Intensive Training and Preparation
Participating students undergo intensive year round training, including multiple stages of theoretical and practical preparation, along with local and international training camps.
These programmes develop their ability to solve advanced chemistry problems and enhance their readiness for international competitions, enabling them to represent the Kingdom with distinction.
