Saudi Arabia has recorded a notable rise in its digital readiness, with 76.04 percent of government entities now prepared to adopt and activate emerging technologies. This marks an increase from 74.69 percent in 2025, according to the Digital Government Authority’s Emerging Technologies Adoption Readiness Index report. The latest assessment included 54 government entities, up from 49 in the previous edition.

Shift From Experimentation to Implementation

The Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, highlighted the significance of this progress, stating,

“Emerging technologies are no longer an experimental option, but have become a fundamental pillar for achieving the efficiency of government performance, increasing productivity, and accelerating completion, which is reflected in improving the beneficiary experience.”

This shift signals a broader move across government bodies from trial phases into practical and scaled deployment of advanced technologies.

The report revealed strong performance across several capability areas. Research capability led at 78.07 percent, followed by integration capability at 77.00 percent. Communication capability reached 75.18 percent, while proof capability stood at 73.92 percent. These figures indicate balanced development across critical aspects required for effective digital transformation.
