Signing Ceremony (1): DataVolt, EWA and Innovatics executives at the signing ceremony launching Saudi Arabia’s first AI and Data Science Diploma.

DataVolt, a developer, investor, and operator of sustainable digital infrastructure, has launched the Kingdom’s first industry-integrated Diploma in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The initiative, created in collaboration with the Energy & Water Academy (EWA) and Innovatics, aims to future-proof Saudi Arabia’s workforce and strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a global AI leader.

Bridging education and industry

The Diploma combines academic excellence with real-world application, enabling students to work directly with industry sponsors such as DataVolt on live business challenges. Fully endorsed by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and approved by the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), the programme will enrol 100 students in November 2025, with 50% of places reserved for women.

Developing AI talent for Vision 2030

As part of its commitment, DataVolt will sponsor five students and guarantee their employment upon graduation, supporting its mission to build local expertise for Saudi Arabia’s next-generation sustainable data centres, including its flagship AI factory campus in Oxagon, NEOM.

Rajit Nanda, CEO of DataVolt, said:

“DataVolt is not only building the Kingdom’s next-generation data centres but also the Saudi talent to power them, ensuring long-term leadership in the global AI economy.”

Strategic partnerships for sustainable growth

Salwa Smaoui, CEO of Innovatics, added:

“This diploma is a strategic workforce initiative, ensuring every graduate is ready to contribute immediately to the Kingdom’s most advanced AI projects.”

Tariq Alshamrani, CEO of EWA, commented:

“EWA is proud to partner with DataVolt and Innovatics to deliver this programme and develop the next generation of data scientists and AI professionals.”

Investing in Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure

DataVolt continues to invest in sustainable data centre infrastructure across Saudi Arabia. Earlier this year, the company signed an agreement with NEOM to design and develop a net-zero AI factory campus in Oxagon. The USD 5 billion project will power high-performance computing and AI workloads with renewable energy.
