Schools Visit LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah

by Eddie Rayner

The LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah has welcomed over 20 schools from King Abdullah Economic City and Jeddah. The visits were organized by the Saudi Schools Sports Federation (SSSF).

Over 1,500 students, both boys and girls, attended during tournament week, with Majed Al Surour, CEO of Saudi Golf Federation and Golf Saudi, explaining: “We are delighted to welcome all these schools to this week’s LIV Golf tournament, the LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club. Growing the game of golf amongst the youth of Saudi Arabia is a key priority for us all. For the students to see and experience what is happening here this week, involving some of the best golfers in the world, in their country, and to try the game of golf, is exciting.”

Some of the students are part of the Saudi Golf Association programs supported by Golf Saudi, one of the Mass Participation pillars, also including Access and Infrastructure; National Team and Elite Development; Events; Tourism; and Sustainability.

The school visits included participation in the golfing activities in the tournament village, including the Mini-Golf, Putting, and Golf Simulator, and walking some of the holes on the golf course at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club.
