The Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation (ALECSO) have signed an agreement to boost Arabic language learning standards and cooperate with each other on the IQ-scale AlifYa Scale specifically tailored for Arab societies.

This will help to develop guidelines for Arabic language learning standards and their ensuing implementation and evaluation within the framework of general education, including designing the content and activities of training programmes to build capacity in the field of preparing and assessing Arabic language teaching.

The two entities will cooperate with each other on the IQ-scale AlifYa Scale specifically tailored for Arab societies

Furthermore, the agreement entails the application of the AlifYa Scale to a sample of 1,000 students, both male and female, across a variety of ALECSO member states. A five-day training programme will be instigated to carry this out.
