A Centre of Excellence for the Children of Indian Nationals

by Eddie Rayner

International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ), formerly known as the Embassy of India School, first opened its doors in 1969, beginning as a Villa school with a small number of pupils, faculty and limited infrastructure. From the first day, though, its goal has been to give high-quality education to the children of Indian nationals living in Jeddah.

Expanding dramatically over the years, IISJ caters to the educational needs of over 10,000 students, with a vision to be “a centre of excellence that develops and nurtures each of its students to the fullest potential in all walks of life.”

IISJ follows the CBSE curriculum and is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and prepares the students for the All India Secondary School Examination and All India Senior School Certificate Examination. All teaching is carried out in the English language.
